Hold it at arm’s length

Free to play, adults only

These games borrow their look, their sound and their pacing from real gambling, and they do it on purpose. That is why Northern Spin Lodge is meant for adults over the legal gambling age and is not directed at anyone under 19. You are asked twice: on the strip across the top, and as a box you tick when you create the account.

What the cabin will not do

• Offer or promote real-money gambling.
• Hand out anything of value off-site.
• Sell coins or add in-app purchases.
• Link out to operators or affiliates.
• Run countdowns or streaks that press you to come back.

The straight version

Free games can be tuned to feel generous, and the float refills for nothing. Paid games do neither of those. A good run in the cabin says nothing about how you would do with money at stake.

Things worth noticing

• Playing much longer than you meant.
• Feeling irritable once you stop.
• Playing to get out of a mood.
• It taking time from sleep, work or people.
• Looking for a real-money version.

Staying the one in charge

• Set the length of the session before starting.
• Keep autoplay off.
• Take breaks regularly.
• Clear this site’s data to reset the lot, or block the site in your device settings to stop for good.
